Osmos is an excellent iPad game, which transports you to a spectacular looking and sounding ambient world.

The object of the game is to guide your little cell around the dreamy floating world, absorbing other cells in order to grow. You can only absorb cells that are smaller than you, so you must hunt down the small pieces first before going for the big cells.
Controls in Osmos are very straightforward. You just tap behind the cell in the direction you want to push it. Be careful though, because matter is ejected as you are propelled along, causing you to shrink.
There are three game modes in Osmos - Odyssey, Arcade and Multiplayer. Odyssey mode sees you tackle a series of 72 levels within the Osmos 'Blobisphere', while Arcade mode lets you play any level at your choice of difficulty (this needs to be unlocked in Odyssey mode first).

Osmos is a game like no other, and it's stunning in its looks and sounds. The dreamlike graphics and ambient music really help you unwind and at times you'll get completely lost in it and feel like you're drifting through Space.
Though it may not appeal to adrenaline junkies, Osmos provides a uniquely tranquil gaming experience on the iPad.
